Pictures, finally

Circle of Life sweater

Here’s a pic of the almost-finished “Circle of Life” sweater, before weaving in ends and blocking. It’ll be released as a Knitting Matters Green Knits pattern this month, assuming my tech editor has time to review it in the next couple of weeks.

I’m sort of panicking about work for the next week because I’m having Lasik eye surgery tomorrow afternoon and it just dawned on me that I might not be up to working much for a few days. So I’ve got a suddenly too-big to do list on my desk. I’m so excited about the Lasik, but also a bit nervous about having both eyes done at once. Everyone says it’s no big deal, so I hope I’ll have a great experience with it. Wish me luck!

Back to the pictures…the next pattern in the FlexPattern line will be this scarf, which I’ve tentatively named “Luffle” — a luscious yarn with ruffles — Luffle.  The yarn is Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk Aran and everyone who sees it in person has a hard time keeping their hands off it.

As soon as I can see well enough to work again after the Lasik, I’ll get these two done and begin working on the new designs for the June show. Focusing on June helps me delude myself into believing that winter will eventually be over once again. It’s hard to see past the 38″ of snow we’ve had so far this winter though….but it WILL end, right?

Well, SEE ya later.

What a nice website and blog you have. I raise my own sheep and make yarn for some but not all of my projects. I like to know where my wool comes from ; ) but often use commercial yarns as well. I was pointed in your direction by the latest IK Top 10 Picks, wishing you continued success! Jeanie
