Good Things Will Happen This Year

We’ve not only turned the page on the calendar, but we’ve had to get a whole new calendar. Yes, that’s right, it’s 2008. Wow. Time sure flies when you get older you’re having fun! I hope you’re all looking forward to a good year. I certainly am.

Knitting Matters has started the new year with the release of the Radiance Vest pattern, the newest in the FlexPattern line.
Radiance Vest frontAs I wrote in my January newsletter, it was designed to bring some sunshine (i.e. Radiance) into the dreariness of winter. I love how the front bias panel makes the diagonal stripes on the front. The back is knitted side-to-side so you get vertical stripes there, providing a very flattering slimming effect. (Who among us doesn’t love that?!) It’s shown here in Trendsetter Tonalita yarn, but would work just as well in Noro Silk Garden or other similar yarn with long color repeat sections.

There are now 6 yarn shops carrying Knitting Matters patterns and I’m working on making them more widely available. I’ll probably be exhibiting at the TNNA show in June this year too, and will try to have some new patterns to introduce there. One of my sweaters is being shown in the TNNA booth of Vermont Organic Fiber Co. next week in Long Beach, CA. Rose Baby CardiganIt’s the Rose Baby Cardigan, which is made in their O-Wool Balance yarn. Next month I’ll be releasing a new Green Knits pattern in O-Wool Classic, their worsted organic wool.

If you want to make sure you hear about new pattern releases throughout the year, you can either sign up for my monthly newsletter or subscribe to my blog feed through Bloglines or some similar free service.
