KERPLUNK!!

That’s the sound of my SIL’s socks hitting the frog pond and sinking to the murky bottom. Tinas_socks_in_frog_pond_1 (Maybe I should say "ice pond" considering the 6 or so inches of snow we got last night.)  I was just not happy with the way they were turning out, partially due to a couple sloppy mistakes in the gusset area.  Last night at knitting group I decided to rip out back to the heel and fix it, but ended up with a tangled mess of yarn and gave up.  I started a new pair as soon as I got home last night, around 9:30.  Sooo….despite a very sore wrist and shoulder, I have 2 weeks to finish an entire pair of socks (which I’ve probably never done before), and finish my MILs scarf (which can be done).  I’m still not happy with one of the felted purses I made (Mom’s!), and am worrying about how to make it better.  Here’s my first New Year’s Resolution:  Next year, I’m either starting my Christmas knitting by March, or I’m not giving knitted gifts at all.  So there!

Hope you finish knitting your gifts. I didn’t knit any gives this year. Perhaps next year.
