Miles (of I-cord) to go before I sleep….
That little nod to Robert Frost expresses how I feel about my knitting right now. I’ve basically finished the three felted purses I’m making for gifts, but haven’t done the boring, tedious amounts of I-cord that I need to do for the handles. My hands are sore and I just can’t seem to get myself to finish them.
Look what Joan gave all of her employees for a holiday gift:
She made each of us two handwoven dish towels…aren’t they nice? (That’s Gladys using the towel for a picnic blanket. She’s one of my favorite pieces of art…got her at an art fair in Ann Arbor a couple years ago.)
Speaking of the yarn store, one of my co-workers is having back surgery in a few days and will likely be out of commission for several months. All of us at the store have secretly been working on a prayer shawl for her out of a gorgeous red mohair yarn. It’s almost finished and I just got to add my several inches to it last night. I think she’ll love it. The prayer shawl tradition is a really cool thing, isn’t it?

See other “real people” like Gladys here: http://www.alittlecompany.net. I can’t wait to get another one to keep Gladys company. She comes off a little crazy sitting there all alone laughing her head off like that!
