My doctor is a knitter…
I swear, I am so proud of my felted purse! I just got home from my doctor’s office, where I found out that the doctor AND her receptionist are knitters. They’re both beginners and have only knit scarves so far, but they raved over my purse. One of them might be coming to our new social knitting group tonight at Borders. She says she’d love to make purses like this for gifts next year, so I may end up teaching her how.
I was working on my sister’s felted purse while I was sitting in the flimsy little robe waiting for the doc to come in, and we ended up talking more about knitting than my exam (which was FINE by me, honey!). I was also wearing a pair of my handknitted socks, and she was amazed at them. It’s funny how fascinated everyone gets with handknit socks…I guess I was too, before I tried to make my first pair. These were made about a year ago I think, with Regia self-striping sock yarn.
